Is The Grass Greener 300x300 Is the grass greener on the other side?Say you’re in a long term relationship; you love your significant other, everything was a dream come true in the beginning. You have now been together for over two years and things are starting to get mundane and become a routine. You lose a bit of your spark as a couple but the love is still there.

Is the grass greener on the other side?

You indirectly meet someone new and hit it off right away; it’s innocent and friendly at first, but over time you know it could potentially become something more.  Do you leave your current significant other and try your hand at something new? Or try to fix what’s already there? Is the grass truly greener on the other side? That all depends on you.

Do you want to rekindle that passion you once had? If the answer is yes, then it’s time you and your other to have a talk. Tell them that you feel stuck and that your relationship has become dull, then express that you want that spark back and you’re open and willing to try new experiences together. Then listen to what they have to say, did he/she even realize you were feeling like this? They might have the same concerns as you.  If you still feel stuck after you’ve talked out your problems and attempt to fix the relationship then it may be time to call it quits. At least, you’ve both tired and you could always remain friends.

If the emotional bond with this new person seems greater and you don’t have the drive to fight for your current partner, it’s time to move on to something new and hopefully things work out in the end.
